President

Madeline Vavricek

My name is Madeline Vavricek, and I have the privilege of serving Pi Chapter as president for a second term! I am a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I am a majoring in Economics. After college, I plan on attending law school and pursing a career in public service. I am deeply passionate about the advancement of women and so proud to lead an organization that is devoted to building confidence and inspiring action in girls and women. I am excited beyond words to serve Pi Chapter in this role, and I hope that I can carry on the tradition of excellence and sisterhood established by the sisters before me.

I am a Junior English and Psychology major at the University. When I’m not working, you can usually find me watching MTV shows or taking pictures of our fearless Prez, Maddie Vav. If not for Kappa Delta, I would not be standing firm in the knowledge that I can accomplish what I want to do — write and edit Young Adult Literature, and teach and foster teenagers. There is no one and nothing I love more than disadvantaged, misunderstood kids, especially kids with mental health issues and/or parent issues. Kappa Delta has brought me avenues to make a difference in the world I care about, and I hope to do the same for Kappa Delta through my service on Council.

Hey y'all! I am a Senior majoring in Advertising & Public Relations here at UNL. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, but I have always loved the Huskers! My college experience would not even compare if not for Kappa Delta. I have found sisters that keep me laughing, the most fun and adventurous people to take road trips with, the friends down to lay on the floor of KD and talk with until 2 a.m., my life long best friends. I am so grateful for all of the memories and opportunities I have received from KD so far! This year, as Vice President-Membership, I hope to expose the world to what an incredible sisterhood I have been a part of!

Hello! I am a Junior majoring in Biology and I am Pi Chapter’s Vice-President of Standards. I grew up in North Platte and I followed in my parents footsteps and continued the family tradition here at the U of N. I am a jack of all trades. Kappa Delta has truly been a blessing to me these past two years as it has given me my best friends, a home away from home, and so many amazing memories. One of my favorite memories is the two 18 hour car rides with my sisters down and back from Florida to compete in the National Intramural Flag Football Tournament. Another favorite memory is becoming Intramural champions in Broomball. I can not thank Kappa Delta enough for helping me grow as an individual, teaching me how to share a house with 70 girls, and gifting me with so many life-long friendships.

Hey! I am a Junior Biological Sciences major at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am born and raised in Omaha, NE, so I have always bled Husker Red! After college, I plan on attending dental school and either pursuing a career in pediatric dentistry or orthodontics. If not for Kappa Delta, I would not have been able to make so many memories in college from staying up till 4:30am just talking with my sisters or going out to a fancy dinner with my roommates. I am glad that Kappa Delta is now a part of my life forever and I am excited to serve Pi Chapter as Secretary!

Hey guys!! I am a sophomore psychology major here at UNL. I am from Kearney, Nebraska, but I absolutely love Lincoln and couldn’t imagine going to school anywhere else. Being a part of Kappa Delta has made my experience here in Lincoln so much better and I honestly can’t imagine my life without all my sisters. Because of Kappa Delta I have met some of my best friends who inspire me, make me a better version of myself, and most importantly make me laugh on a daily basis. Kappa Delta also helped me meet so many other girls on campus who are also involved with Greek life that I would have never otherwise met. It is so rewarding to be a part of such a supportive and fun community like the Greek system at UNL. As Kappa Delta’s Panhellenic Delegate, I am so grateful to get to work with all the incredible women we have in Kappa Delta and throughout our Greek community!
